For Taos Monte Bello RV Park: This park had both pros and cons. The pros were it was in a location just a few miles from town. The park was small, well kept and fairly level gravel sites.
The cons were it was located on a very busy road that could be very loud even at night. There was a dog boarding facility across the street that at times, not all the time, had a lot of loud barking dogs. Upon arrival I was told they charge to use a credit card. As we were there for a week I didn’t have enough cash so I had to pay the extra $10. This, along with tax put the nightly cost just under $60. Then while setting up, the owner came over and informed my husband we were responsible for our own electricity. Never had this for a short stay and it was never mentioned prior. When checking out there was no one available to read the meter so I could pay. The owner called me a couple days later to tell me what I owed (about $20) and when she put it on my credit card she also up charged me for using a card even though I had tried to avoid the issue by paying prior to leaving. So, about $63 per night for a place with zero amenities in this location seemed a bit pricy to me. I think people should be made aware of the extra charges when reserving.

For Taos Monte Bello RV Park: Let me start by saying this is a western US RV Park, not to be confused with an RV Resort some are used to back east. The 5-stars are my rating based on what is available in the area. The sites were spacious and level, the wifi worked, it was clean and neat and the owners were as good as gold. This is the place if you are looking for the best available in the area.

For Taos Monte Bello RV Park: Loved this campground! So convenient to Taos, spotlessly clean, quiet, and John was the best host with encountered on our cross country trip. Couldn’t have been more helpful! All of the buildings were closed due to Covid, but that did not impact our stay.

For Taos Monte Bello RV Park: We had a great stay at Monte Bello RV park. Park was very clean and everything was in good working condition. Fantastic views of the mountains from the park. Very convenient location to Taos and other attractions in the area. The owner, John, was fantastic. Met us on our arrival and provided us with maps and brochures. He gave us the 101 on local attractions, where to eat and what to do. He even gave us his mobile number to call him if we had any problems while riding our motorcycle. We would definitely recommend this park.

For Taos Monte Bello RV Park: Well maintained RV park with gated access. Spacious sites with nice views. WiFi secure and good cell service. The washrooms were closed due to COVID, which was unfortunate as other campgrounds in the state have their washrooms open. I felt that with a little extra effort they could have provided a full service to their patrons.
