For Red Rock Park: We love the area; however, as mentioned previously, the layout is confusing.
Since we're here off-season, the park was not crowded. I'd hate to see it during an event though.
Many of the sites are really small; but sites 85 & 96-103 are pull-throughs. You just gotta hunt them down.
There are 20/30/50 amp hook ups and water at the sites; no sewer. There are two dumps located in the different sections of the park.
This is a horse friendly area.
The camp host was very friendly... cost is $20/night.
A key to the bathrooms/showers were offered - but we didn't need it.

For Red Rock Park: We only stayed one night in October 2016. It was good for an overnight stay. We got there late and we couldn't figure out how the sites were laid out easily. It was dusty and not marked well. Water, electric, picnic table and fire ring. There were bathrooms and showers but we didn't use them. Someone came by to take our $20 for the night and was kind enough to track down the mail we had forwarded to their office for us. We would stay there again. Felt safe and well kept.

For Red Rock Park: Great place with scenic views, nice hiking trails, mostly level spots. We camped in a 40 foot motorhome. Paid $20 for electric and water. You could pay $10 for dry camping. The day we were here the water pressure was so low we just used the water from our tank. Would come here again.

For Red Rock Park: We have camped here before and always have a nice experience. First, it is a handy stopping place when we travel from northern New Mexico to Az. Gallup is a good place for shopping for Western and Native American wares.
The campground is part of a county-state complex. They host rodeos, balloon festivals etc. there is a nice small museum that expounds on Navajo culture. There is a small historical trading post that was not open on the Holiday on which we visited. Two hiking trails around red rock formations are moderate, an hour to three in length and very pretty especially at low angles of sun.
The campground has been fairly empty when we have traveled in the winter. E&W, level site and study tables and fire rings at each site. Did not see restrooms but the park, although dusty, seems well cared for.
For those seeking info, a phone call is best as the website seems difficult to find. Even if you come late, they will either stop to pick up your fee or you pay the next morning at the center.

Avery
For Red Rock Park: Great campsite, there were many spaces when we came on a Wednesday in November. Check in was confusing, and we arrived late, but a nice person came to take our payment in the morning. Looks like a place where events (ex. Rodeos) take place here so it could be very full during those times.
