For Valley Of Fires Recreation Area: Stopped for the trail. Great helpful hosts. Sites will hold bigger trailers than what’s stated. Site 3-4 will hold us at 73 ft.

For Valley Of Fires Recreation Area: I love this place. It is one of the Crown Jewels for the BLM. Paved electric and water at sites other sites have no utilities. Now accepting reservations. I highly recommend. Some site not so level. Warning, Carrizozo and area not exactly great on supplies. So pack up before you go.

For Valley Of Fires Recreation Area: Beautiful campground $18 a night for full hook up so pretty good price. Bathroom and showers. Very nice. Everything is clean here in the park and has a wonderful visitor center along with a paved trail path for those who are handicapped. Will definitely stay here again.

For Valley Of Fires Recreation Area: I love high desert so this place is beautiful. I walked the nature trail and the flora is fantastic. The lava is incredible. Bathrooms and showers are clean. Be aware there are stickers so walking the dog is tricky.

For Valley Of Fires Recreation Area: Really enjoyed this park. Great views. If you don’t have a reservation, arrive early (maybe by Noon we were told) to claim a site with electric - we did not. Very windy and we were out on a point, so we really got it until the sun started going down which tamed the winds. AT&T cell service was spotty, varying between 2 and 1 bars. Restrooms/showers were clean. The nature trail of about a mile is nice - not challenging at all - handicap accessible in fact. While you’re on it, give some thought to the efforts that must have been made to build it without destroying what it was being built to show off. The best campsites with hookups are those closest to the shower building. Camp host, Daniel, who told us he is only there in the summers, was very nice - clearly on the ball. Great place to be on a clear night to see the stars.
