For Percha Dam State Park: Quiet park, hands off approach by staff and rangers. Seems fairly, but not completely, full every time I have been. Lots of mosquitoes and flying insects. No dump station on site, have to drive up the road to the main Caballo SP campground to dump. Only a couple of sites with full hookups. Excellent bird watching. Rough road, low branches, and narrow bridge with a weight-limit on the main approach into the park. Alternate route is available. Weight limit should only affect large Detroit diesel type coaches.

For Percha Dam State Park: Nice quiet campground. Level sites with picnic tables. Sites without power $10, sites with power $14, with power and shelter over table $18. Bathrooms with lovely hot showers. Host very friendly and helpful.

For Percha Dam State Park: Great place to camp. About 20 miles from a larger town either direction. Quiet. Ranger and Host drive thru often. Stayed twice. Once by river, no services, was eaten up by mosquitos but enjoyed the sound of the river all night. Bring mosquito everything!!! 2nd in the loop. 25’ trailer was a squeeze, 3 large fire ant mounds, but very quiet. Most sites have morning or evening shade. Bathroom is clean. You can take an evening stroll or just hang out at your site and all feels safe. Lots of fish to be caught. One of the better state parks.

For Percha Dam State Park: Nice campground. Water and electric sites are arranged around an oval giving a view of open space and in our case the mountains beyond. Most have sunshades. They are suitably long and level. The non-hookup sites are closer to the river and spacious.

For Percha Dam State Park: Very sad place. You must cross a wooden bridge with a max weight of 15 tons. No place to turn around to avoid crossing. Our rv is 17 tons, we went across and prayed. There is a host but you have to go knock on his trailer door. Sites are mostly level with several pull throughs. Some 50 amp, one site with full hookup. Generally the place is very run down. Beware of skunks here at night and lots of burrs in grassy areas. Not a good place with pets.
