For KOA Journey Bernalillo: We stayed here for a quick overnight stop. The grounds are clean and well maintained. It was very quiet overnight and there are no trains. However, the spaces are quite packed in and close. All dirt and gravel with some trees. It’s okay for an overnight stop, but I would pass on this for an extended stay. Note: we were passing through during CoVID response and facilities were wisely closed, so this rating is not based on those features.

For KOA Journey Bernalillo: It is very obvious that the owners take pride in this hidden Bernalillo gem. Groundskeepers were out all weekend. We had a lovely end spot near the south pet walk. Very pet friendly with 3 different fenced in areas across the property. We will definitely come back as this is our closest KOA.

For KOA Journey Bernalillo: Did not honor electric amperage and type of site on reservations made a year prior to 2019 balloon fiesta.

For KOA Journey Bernalillo: Second stay. Still a terrific place. Full of amenities, sites are level and 30/50. Stayed overnight, like to spend more time.

For KOA Journey Bernalillo: Location: 5/10. Grounds: 10/10. Facilities: 8/10. Sites: 8/10. Walkabilty: 2/10. Noise: 8/10. Great overnight stop location as it is close to stores, industry, and Interstate 25. However fairly quiet given its location. Very clean and well maintained, in April the staff were very attentive to making repairs and taking care of landscaping. Nice flowers and clean water features near the office. Each site has a small artificial grass spot with picnic table. Gravel sites are groomed and fairly level. Not very walkable outside of the premises, other than the fantastic small brewery and kitchen reachable via a private path.
