For KOA Journey Albuquerque: Yes, it’s a lovely park. They’ve spent a lot of money to spruce it us. BUT nice they are not. We’ve traveled full time in our RV 14 years and this is the first RV park that refused to let us receive our mail here. CANNOT RECEIVE MAIL HERE!!! They told me to rent a PO Box or UPS box for 1 week! This policy is unacceptable. Since we used to receive our mail at this park when we stayed here before, this must be a new policy of new owners. Too bad we’ve already paid for our stay. Last time!

For KOA Journey Albuquerque: Park was clean. Friendly staff. Lots of highway noise. No pool etc due to Covid. That was disappointing.

For KOA Journey Albuquerque: We got here after 7 and they had a very friendly staff member to escort us to our lot. We got the premium pull through which allows a tow vehicle and you don’t have to unhook. We stayed only one night. They have a security gate to get in or out after 7. The site was level and concrete. You are next to the freeway so it’s a constant roar of traffic and occasional loud diesel break noises. We had to keep our windows shut because of the noise.

For KOA Journey Albuquerque: One of the nicest, cleanest, well kept KOAs I have ever stayed at. The bathrooms were immaculate. We will definitely stay here again.

For KOA Journey Albuquerque: Good, clean KOA. Stayed 5 days while touring ABQ. Level, concrete sites. Friendly staff. The only downside is it is right next to the highway so there is a 24/7 roar of traffic.

For KOA Journey Albuquerque: Friendly and helpful staff. Paved roads and sites. Clean and well maintained facilities. Lots of shade trees. WiFi would not work with either of our computers but worked fine with hand held devices.

For KOA Journey Albuquerque: For a KOA this one rates mediocre at best. As expected the staff was professional, friendly, helpful and on top of running the park. The problem is the owners didn’t give them what they needed to work with to make this a much better KOA.
Located immediately next to I-40 the Interstate noise is constant and the regular sound if police, fire department and ambulance units is regular reminder that this KOA is close to Albuquerque’s “War Zone†neighborhood.
The biggest disappointment was how many tons of gravel had to be trucked in to kill any sign of a blade of grass. They even buried the grass in the dog runs! If I’d wanted to sit on a pile of gravel I wouldn’t have gone to a KOA. In Albuquerque’s heat this large expanse of pavement and gravel was brutal! (And I lived in Albuquerque for 62 years and know the heat well.) trees in the part of the park were “limited†while the other side had lots of trees and was quite shaded. If your going to stay here ask for a shaded site, it will be worth the premium fee.
Finally, the WiFi. The park has numerous channels and repeaters around the park in an effort to provide good WiFi. It didn’t work. The WiFi was hard to get onto (lots of RVers) and if you did get on it was p.a.i.n.f.u.l.l.y slow.
If I ever stayed here again it would only be because of its location in the city and I’d pay the premium for some shade.
