For Dildo Run Provincial Park: Facilities were not clean and in poor condition. One washer broken and one dryer ran but did not heat up. Showers were cold . One of the worst provincial parks we stayed in while in Newfoundland.

For Dildo Run Provincial Park: July 2023: We had a reserved site for a 26-ft van based RV on the serviced (sites 22-43) loop supposedly for RVs up to 35-ft. We were advised on arrival that we had to boil our water. The campground roadway was nearly impassable due to ruts and potholes. Campsites all seemed to be above or below road grade level, and every parked camper had lots of leveling blocks. Our assigned site was a narrow back in site down a steep hill with a sharp vee to a flat(ish) bottom. We determined there was no way we could get our van into that site without damaging it, especially the rear overhang that would bottom out on the flat. We had reserved our site months ahead, but after one look we left without staying and found somewhere else. The bottom line is that this campground is not suitable for anything but the smallest RV and trailers. We cannot recommend this campground to anyone other than tenters.

For Dildo Run Provincial Park: Terrific place, so beautiful. Our site was level, wooded, quiet. Water was on a “boil alert,” but staff said it was ok to drink. Shower was a bit grody, but I went late in the day, after others had used it after morning cleaning. Staff friendly. The power tower has GFI, which popped when we plugged in, so we went without electricity, and will have our rig checked for electric problems. Highly recommend this park.

For Dildo Run Provincial Park: This park is listed as Deer Lake but is much closer to Twillingate (22.5kms). It is a pretty drive to this popular destination. The sites in the park are nicely spaced with lots of trees. Our site was level but that is not true for all sites. There are garbage cans and recycling bins at every site. Washrooms are very clean and there is laundry and a dump station. The road is gravel so be prepared for dust! The hiking trail to Blackhead Point is a nice 4km round trip to a lovely lookout. There were two trees down on the path but it was easy to go around. There are also a number of other hikes close by.

For Dildo Run Provincial Park: Very nice Provincial Park - well maintained - Showers, Flush Toilets, Laundry, Dump Station. Water was labeled “ Boil “ but the staff says it test OK to drink. We didn’t take the chance so make sure your fresh water tank is full before you arrive. Close to Twillingate only 20 minutes away. Great place for seafood just down the road in Hillgrade - Doyle Sansome and Sons Ltd. We stayed 3 nights - highly recommend.
