Mary

For Spruce Run State Rec Area: Stay away on weekends, it’s party place for the locals. Many tents and people on each site with loud blaring music. Police car drove around quite a bit with its lights on but didn’t do anything. Maybe for crowd control? 7 sites with w/e but you park your rig on the side of the road next to your campsite in relentless sun. Bath house had wasps all around including nests on the ceiling - even in the gross shower which didn’t have a shower head so it was like showing under a pressure washer. Nice family of deer grazing once the partying people left with all their trash around.

For Spruce Run State Rec Area: This was a good campground for the night. Site needed a little leveling. Average showers. We ended up here because the nearby Voorhees park was deserted and told us to register here. Since this looked better we stayed here. It was very quiet on a weekday, which is what we like.
