For Hampton Beach State Park RV Camp: Stayed here for one night as a stop over point on way south from northern Maine. It was just fine. Hook ups worked well. This does book up fast and is hard to get a reservation so plan well in advance. This is not a five star oceanfront experience but it does have character and for the price worked well for us as a stop over point. Beach is ok - nicer beaches to be found elsewhere but good after long day of driving and to stretch one’s legs. No dogs and no tents allowed. Must be self contained RV/trailer/5th wheel.

For Hampton Beach State Park RV Camp: The state of New Hampshire should put some money into this place. Lovely location, horrid facilities. This is one of the very few campgrounds in northern New England that is on a beach. It is very difficult to reserve a site with hookups as there are only 28 sites and are reservable 11 months ahead of time. The full service sites are quite large but the boo docking sites are very tight. This park has the worst facilities of any state park I have ever stayed at as they are basically nonexistent. The beach is very nice unless it is a hot summer day. Then the beach will be jam packed with rude, trash leaving scum who throw their cans, bottles and diapers on the sand and walk away. if you want to be at the beach with a honky-tonk Boardwalk within walking distance, this is your place.

For Hampton Beach State Park RV Camp: 2 stars only because it is on a groomed beach. All others aspects are zeros. The electric sites book up 11 months in advance so you will be forced to boondock in a parking lot where you will be awoken at 6 am by their beach grooming tractors. There is a bath house but it has only unheated water and is locked up from 6pm- 8am so plan accordingly. NO DOGS rule is strictly enforced.
