For Buffalo Bill Ranch State Recreation Area: Electric only sites, no dump station, lots of odd traffic, vault toilets, rough dirt roads. I seldom feel like a State park campground is over priced however being from out of state adds a $14 per day charge to a park that is already charging the max for what you are getting. Buffalo Bill Mansion was very interesting.

For Buffalo Bill Ranch State Recreation Area: We are rating this state park a four out of five because we were able to obtain a site with electric and water. There are only three sites here that have both electric and water the rest are only electric. Some sites have 50 amp and some sites only have 30 amp . There is no dump station. The 1 mile road coming in is well graded, but a little rough, but certainly fine if you go slowly. The only thing we found a little odd was that there were a lot of cars that would come in and leave within five minutes. But, we didn’t have any troubles of any kind. There is no bathhouse, but we didn’t use the facility anyway. As in that, it is a very pretty area.

For Buffalo Bill Ranch State Recreation Area: Small. No bath house. Road terrible coming in. No envelopes to pay. Loose Doberman. Spot to stay if you're in a pinch. Would not stay otherwise.

For Buffalo Bill Ranch State Recreation Area: The road in is not for a motor home . There is no bath house. You need 100 ft of water hose to get water. There is no dump station. You do have electric. Out of state people pay 8 dollars plus 14 dollars for electric. Would not do it.

For Buffalo Bill Ranch State Recreation Area: This was a great find. It was clean, incredibly quiet and uncrowded. the only quibble is the fact that there are only three water spigots, and one of them can't be reached by RV. We needed to fill up with fresh water, and it took some serious maneuvering to get into position to attach the hose.
Otherwise, no problem. The history surrounding the area is great, and the birding was wonderful. We'd definitely stay again.
