For Fort Hamby Park: Charming, well maintained little campground with access to a boat ramp, a swimming area, a hiking trail, and several group picnic venues.
The sites are large the road is very narrow with awkward curves that can make backing in complicated. I started with site 2 which I was told some people have trouble with but I did not. Then I moved to site 1. Some locals showed up and told me 1) never pick site 1 and 2) put my truck in 4 wheel drive. To drive up onto the bank on the far side of the road, it turned out. After almost 2 hours I got backed in. Even backing my truck unhitched into the site was a trick. I’m told site 22 is also an especially tricky one.
Used Verizon without by booster and it was generally enough to work though it cut out sometimes.

For Fort Hamby Park: We enjoyed our stay at this nice clean and quiet campground. The sites were well spread out, covered with gravel and relatively level. There's water and electric with a dump station inside the campground. Firewood is available for sale and a large fire ring at each site is great. There's lots to do with a hiking trail, fishing, boat launch and more. We happened to catch a play in the amphitheater which was a nice venue inside the campground. There's plenty of shopping and restaurants close by plus plenty of day trips to the surrounding area.

For Fort Hamby Park: Spent a 4-day weekend here at Fort Hamby and we really enjoyed it! The roads around the campground are one-way pretty much so make sure you pay attention to the signage to get to your campsite. Lots of stuff nearby as far as grocery/gas/food places. The bath house was new, nice and very clean every time we went to use it! The sites were spacious and had fire ring/grill/lantern hooks and our site was very level. Nice playground, volleyball, basketball, and picnic shelters here and overall we would highly recommend it! They have a boat ramp for the reservoir for use and a few trails to hike too. Nicely maintained! It was a great stay!

For Fort Hamby Park: Campground is well-maintained and a great place to stay. But campers, if you are going to wash your dog in the bath house, please clean up after yourself. It was very nasty.
