For Hammocks Beach State Park: This review is for the new mainland campground, not Bear Island. There are RV (full hookups), tent/RV (no hookups), primitive tent (walk-in) campsites plus cabins. There is no shad except the primitive tent sites. When it’s hot you will be miserable without AC. Facilities are new and pristine but this is a very RV campground.

For Hammocks Beach State Park: great park. We enjoyed our stay in our tent. Bring a stove as you can not have fires here. Beach is nice. Love a beach at night while camping.
