For KOA Journey Greensboro: Just passing through. Read reviews. Sorry to say, very disappointed. Bathrooms still very outdated, some 2 years after previous reviews pointed that out. High weeds and overgrown entrance gave first hint. Many sites lacking level! Some wheels off the ground. Zero cement pads for picnic or sitting out. Fire rings: odd rocks surrounding what looked more like a pothole in the dirt. Very little grass or space between sites. Extremely loud freeway noise. Pool did not seem maintained. More parking lot than campground. Septic was higher than our site for hookup (black/gray difficult to drain) pump out station; very primitive-no water to wash out after draining. People were friendly: guess that’s what the $64.00 gets you.

For KOA Journey Greensboro: I consider this a typical 4 star KOA. Maintenance is good, bathrooms are clean though dated, and staff is helpful. No deduction for traffic noise from I-40 since it is a Journey (not a Holiday) KOA. For the fifth star it would need to stand out in some way - whether updated bathrooms, beater than average landscaping, etc. But it is definitely a decent place to stay for a day or two.

For KOA Journey Greensboro: We stayed here two nights just passing through. It rained the whole time so we didn’t do much at all on the property besides set up. The staff were super nice at C/I and C/O. Sites were nice and level. Can be loud since it’s beside the interstate, but we drowned the noise out with a noise machine at night. Would stay again if we needed to and would recommend if passing through!

For KOA Journey Greensboro: Nice level sites, clean but very dated bathroom, the showers are not great water pressure. Fine for a quick stopover. The pool needed to be cleaned when we were there. Some highway noise due to the proximity to the interstate.

For KOA Journey Greensboro: Fairly average campground. Being a stone's throw from the freeway with all that noise is kind of a drag but certainly not a deal-breaker. Bathrooms just ok. Looks like there's been some recent work done to upgrade the sites (new gravel, electrical, picnic tables). I've been to a lot of places and to me this is a 3-star campground but it's nice to see a campground investing back into itself so I gave them an extra star.

For KOA Journey Greensboro: Almost all pull through sites. Very clean and well-maintained with gravel sites. My site was level and I didn't see anyone around me using blocks. Sites have some breathing room between them with picnic tables and fire rings on grass. Freeway is right outside the fence and you do hear freeway noise outside; inside my fan drowned it out. Enjoyed the small pool which was well-kept. Was informed at check-in they had just installed a dog park.
