For McDowell Nature Preserve Campground: While I was waiting for my condo to close I decided to go camping here. I was dropped off by my real estate agent/friend. What happened was totally unreal. When the workers at the Park realized I did not have my car they assumed I was homeless and treated me with total disrespect. I have the park rangers name but will not put it here, I won't embaress him as he did me. Also, the woman who worked in the office was about nasty and disrespectful as anyone I have ever delt with. She could not put the phone down long enough to answer a question, and because of that I was thrown out of the park for having a camp fire. They said it was posted not to burn a fire. I asked "did you throw out all the other people who had a fire last night?" I saw at least four campfires that nite. My real estate agent came to get me and asked Mr. Park Ranger why he was evicting me and stated I was drinking beer and there were beer cans all over my campsite. I was dumbfounded over him lying - I do not drink and my real estate agent knew that. Soooo - judgemental and telling lies??? Wow. Not much excitment in the woods for these guys. My opinion...stay as far away from this hell hole of judgmental liers.
