For Grant - Yellowstone National Park: Very low marks. Lots is trees. Sites are really sites but a wide spot with a number. When you arrive they give you a list of rules. The only rule that is enforced is generators off at 8 pm. Grills are left out, cooking utensils are out, 10 people to a site. 2 cars a trailer and a tent crammed into a site. Plenty of noise. Generators louder than 69 decibels. I would like to know which rules are enforced. The result is mayhem

For Grant - Yellowstone National Park: I’d say this campground is just fine. It’s best feature is it’s proximity to the site seeing attractions on the Grand Loop. Sites are tight for our 30 foot class C. Staff is nice and bathrooms/dish washing are very clean and stocked. Bikes and dogs not allowed on the dirt trails . No ATM available nearby. No showers, I think due to Covid. Extremely limited dining options. It’s a pit stop for sleeping.

For Grant - Yellowstone National Park: This campground has a series of site loops in a fairly thickly forested setting. The lake is nearby but not visible from most sites. Many sites are just wide spots in the loop road that are “pull throughs” (but many are barely 25 feet long, so not for longer rigs). The individual site designs and sizes seem to depend on the loop. When you reserve or ask for a site, be sure to accurately specify the true total length of your rig, so you get a site of adequate size. There’s a hefty fine for not being able to fit off the loop road into your assigned site because of your misstated total length. Although the sites are many and close together, site privacy is generally acceptable because of the forest setting. The RV Dump station is separated from the campground (near the campground office), so can be accessed whether you are staying in the campground or not. There’s no fee for using the dump site. The waste inlet is set below surrounding ground level so gravity dumping is easy. There is potable freshwater available nearby. The dump site at the campground is heavily used and shows it. There’s a much less used dump site behind the fuel station that’s near the small “store” (tourist trap) outside the campground. That dump site is also available for no fee, is cleaner, easy to access and use, and has a separate freshwater supply. As of June 2019 the lever handle was broken off on the on/off valve at the freshwater spigot. This is only a maintenance oversight. The water is fine. Simply use pliers or a crescent wrench to turn the valve stem where the handle is broken off. An alternate freshwater source may be from the water faucet on the fuel pump island at the nearby fuel station. But ask them first if they approve of that use of their water.

For Grant - Yellowstone National Park: People that run the place very cordial and the location works for seeing the geysers and the lake is beautiful. The sites are a bit tight (25’ Airstream) and close together. Crowded but being able to reserve a site in Yellowstone is a plus

For Grant - Yellowstone National Park: Great place to stay. We were in G loop in July 2018 in a 39ft Class A. A very tight fit but the camp management came to our assistance, without being asked, and trimmed enough branches to get us into our space with slides out. Fantastic attitude that you won’t find in a lot of other places. Definitely coming back here.

For Grant - Yellowstone National Park: Shower ticket provided, laundry on site. Staff overall was not as friendly as Indian creek. We were assigned a camp spot, not allowed to drive thru to pick a own spot. Strict about check out time will charge a fee if stub is not deposited in the check out box. Plus is you can reserve spots and it is centrally located to Old Faithful.

For Grant - Yellowstone National Park: Stayed in Grant for three days during late September. Weather consisting of snow, sleet, and rain for most part. Roads into campground in significant disrepair with numerous potholes and unpaved segments. All campsites were pull throughs and fully occupied at time of our stay. Showers clean and laundry centrally located. Few individuals choose not to observe quite time. Crowded but that is Yellowstone.
