For Apgar Campground - Glacier National Park: We were looking for a CG in Glacier NP that would be convenient to the shuttle route to access to hiking trails. We're self contained and don't use the facilities. We stayed a week in late July in our 25 foot MH.

This is a nice and very conveniently located CG. The hosts are friendly and helpful. All sites are first come first serve. Sites that are expected to be available (campers have until 11:30 to extend their stay) have no tags on the post after 7am. Pick up a registration envelope at the entrance, select an untagged post/empty site and hang a tag on the post. There's much variety in sizes and shapes and privacy of sites. Most are wooded and shady. We were unable to use our solar panels. Most need some leveling. There is no wifi. There's usable ATT and Verizon service with slow data which slows further early in the evening due to volume.

The CG is a 10 minute walk to the Visitor Center/shuttle hub and a 20 minute walk to Apgar Village. There is a full shuttle stop at the CG. A rocky swim beach at Lake McDonald and the amphitheater for Ranger presentations was a 5 minute walk.

For Apgar Campground - Glacier National Park: Campground is part of Apgar Village and within walking distance of the Visitor Center. Apgar Village has a small general store and equipment can be rented for use on Lake McDonald.
