For Lake Sheloole Park City of Shelby: This park is outstanding for a city park. We were pleased with the setting along with the amenities it has to offer for only $25/night. We were traveling with a motorhome, towing a jeep. We wanted a place to rest for one night. This place had it all. A nice view of hilly panorama. An electric/water spigot, a restroom for all. The dog park was awesome! Enclosed grassy area with two agility structures for the Einstein dogs, a nice dog watering spigot, plus two benches for humans. This place has a lot of fun and feisty ground hogs! We just stayed one night. Perfect for us!

For Lake Sheloole Park City of Shelby: On our way to Canada and wanted a stopover before crossing. Shelby is a nice Hi-line town and this city park is characteristic of these wonderful small towns. The park is spacious, lots of grass, dog park and playground. We forgot our checkbook and only had a $10 and a $20’so paid a bit over the listed price. Easily worth it with electric, water nearby and a free sewer dump. Stop by.

For Lake Sheloole Park City of Shelby: July 5, 2024: A convenient place to stop for a travel break. Overall was as described by previous reviewers. The campground roads and site pads are all gravel, but well graded and compacted. Many of the sites are quite long, and there are some pull-through sites. The campground would be nicer if there were more shade trees. The rv dump is easy to access for any size rig. There is rinse water at the dump site. There is what looks like a freshwater source about 20 feet away from the dump, in the middle of a grassy area that’s not vehicle accessible. So there is effectively no freshwater available at the dump site unless you have a long hose, and assuming that the source I saw is potable and working. There are freshwater faucets at most campsites though. When we visited there were only five other sites occupied. The entire campground appears to be lightly used.

For Lake Sheloole Park City of Shelby: We stopped overnight on our way to Canada in July 2019. The campground wasn’t very full. I think I counted 4 other campers besides ourselves. It was definitely quiet. The facilities are a little on the rough side, but more than sufficient for an overnight stop before going into Canada.

For Lake Sheloole Park City of Shelby: Tucked back into a hill, the grass is nice and the facilities will do for an over night. Small little play ground next to the ball parks. Small lake up behind the damn you can fish in according to the sign. We stayed one night while traveling US 2 and there were three other campers. Very quite but windy.
Also the sheriff patrolled through before the sun went down but later a few random cars drove through the park. Maybe kids looking for a place to drink on a Saturday night??
