For KOA Journey Red Lodge: Hosts/owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. Nice KOA with amenities. Well cared for facility.

Johnsons

For KOA Journey Red Lodge: We stayed two nights in our 45’ Class A with tow. Excellent place to stay as base camp for traveling to Beartooth Pass and historic towns of Red Lodge, Fishtail, and Cooke City. (The owner, Jason, told us about Chief Joseph Highway, and we are so glad we took his advice.) The owners are experienced KOA owners and come here from South Carolina for the four-month season. Their efforts in improving this facility are obvious. The owner is the first person we see each morning and the last person we see at night—a testament to how hard he works to make this a top-notch facility. Some deluxe sites have concrete patios with nice Adirondack furniture and modern stone fire pits—beautiful!—but we wanted to stay beside our friends, so we stayed in a gravel pad. The gravel site we had fit the big rig perfectly, and the owner allowed us to park our tow vehicle in the tent site across from us. The laundry was the only amenity we used, and it was one of the cleanest we have seen. The office is clean and well-stocked. Nice heated pool. New, modern play area for kids. The owners made us feel at home.

Waypoint

For KOA Journey Red Lodge: Ok for a few days to explore the area. Pull thru was more level than it looked, but was sloped down in front so had to back out. But doable. All dirt roads but no potholes. Friendly staff. Bath houses looked new but didn’t use. Two bars of Verizon. Stayed in a 34 MH with toad.

For KOA Journey Red Lodge: Can't believe this is a KOA with 3 stars. Kids running around on ATVs Uneven pull through sites. Unkept grounds with weeds everywhere. For what they charge it's a crime. MAKES ME WANT TO QUESTION WHY WE'RE KOA MEMBERS.

JLK

For KOA Journey Red Lodge: A spendy ($45) for dry camp back in, but the showers were worth it after 3 days of BLM! Brand new, nicely maintained and 2 separate buildings for just the few sites here.

David

For KOA Journey Red Lodge: The customer service my mother received from Sue, the manager, was embarrassing coming from a place like KOA. My mother booked a night here while she was passing through but on her way her travel trailer had a blow out. She then took the trailer to a shop and had new tires put on. She called Red Lodge KOA and Sue answered. My mom asked if Sue could refund her for the night since she was now too far to make it. Sue was blunt with her and said no. My mom asked if Sue could transfer the payment to the KOA in Billings and Sue again said no and said she should just drive the extra hour to Red Lodge. Guess what Sue, people like you should never be in customer service and we are reporting you to KOA.

Mike

For KOA Journey Red Lodge: This could be a four star, but a lot needs to change. The road in has potholes you could break an axle on. Sites in our area were very unleveled and grass needs mowed. There is no TV signal to be found, and the little bridge coming in is very tight. They need more help at check in or a better system to speed up the process.
