Laura

For Philipsburg Bay Campground: Stayed here in a 30 foot Class A, no hookups, no dump station. Wonderful US Forest Service Camp ground right on Georgetown Lake. 1 and a half of the loops (of three) are first come first served which was perfect as our planned camping reservation was cancelled. We stayed here for six nights. Generator use is allowed. Solar access is limited due to tree cover. Camp is clean, and the host in loop A, Debbie and Tim, are fantastic, low key and friendly. Helpful with good local information, too. I would give this five stars except the access to water is not good and there are no dump stations nearby. The water provided in camp is very hard to use. We were able to fill our tank at another camp nearby. Pit toilets were clean, but very odorous. Local Lakehouse Inn is a surprisingly good little bar and grill, good food! If you want lots of sun, go to the next camp down, Piney Campground. Cell coverage was good for Verizon, a nice treat for this kind of camping experience.

Peggy

For Philipsburg Bay Campground: My husband and I found Philipsburg Bay, Loop C16, in 1991. We went back each year and were lucky enough to get the same spot. We called it our second home so that should tell you how much we liked it. We were asked to be volunteer camphosts and were never sorry we said yes. Our last year in that spot was 2011. We met many friends from all over the world and have many, many fond memories.

For Philipsburg Bay Campground: Love this campground! On a beautiful lake in the forest. Tons of beautiful tall trees that provide lots of shade. Large sites, great large boat ramp, public water spigots, nice flat paved sites, 3 paved loops with 1 that takes reservations.

SK

For Philipsburg Bay Campground: I scouted this campground while I was in the area, but decided not to stay. It is located in lodgepole pine forest by Georgetown Lake, with a boat ramp right at beginning of campground. There are 3 loops. The roads and pads are paved. A few sites have partial view of the lake but most do not have any view. The pines with open understory are nice, but might make it hard for solar. There is water, vault toilets, and trash receptacles. It had a pleasant feel. Early afternoon on Monday there were plenty of sites available. A nice campground if you want to be near the lake.

BurqueJessie

For Philipsburg Bay Campground: We love this campground! There was a short walk to the lake from the campground. Trees are very tall and sites are private. A couple of male moose were lounging close our camp.

Site pads were perfectly level. Didn't need to do any leveling for our camper.

Camp hosts were wonderful. They had some great recommendations for campsites on our travels. Facilities were clean.

One of my favorite campsites!!!
