For Fort Harrison RV Park: I’ll try to keep this short. Don’t bother making a reservation, it will only tick you off to try and then even more to come. Don’t know how I got the mess I did in spot 11 but then four star reviews on here are really, really, generous. The price is now $31 not $16. The place looks new, I’ll give them credit for that and it had a ton of money dumped into it in (I was told) 2013. But the “upgrade” is exactly this kind of fraud, waste, and abuse that should piss us all off enough to call it out when we see it. The camp design should never have been approved, not yet built, and certainly corrected (by the contractor) once finished. Hard pass for me next time this way and if everyone stops coming maybe, just maybe, they will fix it. At least call them like you see them. Here is what your money gets in spot eleven (and many of the rest are similar): 1) A sewer discharge hole thirteen inches higher than your wheel base (meaning you must, if you can even do it at all, hand raise your full sewer lines to empty them). In my case that gave me about two inches between the bottom of my sewer discharge outlet and the top of their drain. Good thing I didn’t use the hole in the bottom of my drain compartment and ran it directly out the compartment door or sewage would have gushed out the port when I removed it. Did I tell you there is a nine inch curb to contend with? Watch your retracting steps on them if you’re looking for a level spot near the edges (which ironically is where they are). This is the worst basic RV park design I’ve ever seen. Believe it or not the camp host has entire his rig jacked up six inches to compensate. 2). A pit toilet in the park and only a pit toilet (when they have full water and sewer right there). 3). Community showers at the gym (good luck if training is going on). 4). The small arms range right next door. 5). The opportunity to use every leveling device in your rig (when the place was built on a flat plain). I had a six inch drop between my front wheels and back (Sprinter frame with a 24 foot rig on top). This is the ONLY time between Seward Alaska and Key West Florida where I literally used every block in my rig to get level. I suspect auto leveling would need additional blocks under the jacks. 6). A difficult time getting a reservation (I won’t give you the number because then you can’t blame me for finally making one). 7). Check-in time is after 1400 but before 1630. They do have a system to leave your key, used for the water and electricity box, in a box outside the office. Check out time is 1000. What happens in the four hours the spot is empty remains a mystery. 8). Mandatory use of the South Gate (where someone needs to come let you in). I easily drove my rig out the main gate when I departed. Ok, enough. Hope to read someday that they finally got the funds to fix what they know is a problem. I won’t be back to check it out because frankly, I don’t think they care. Hope everyone that does use it complains. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention you have free laundry - in the barracks. Again, good luck if it’s a training period. Life is full of choices.

Thomas

For Fort Harrison RV Park: RV site was gravel and fairly level. The front office was helpful in y request for a extension. There is no commissary or AAFES service no filling station. However there are a few shopping area, Walmart, Albertsons, and staterbros. The site has no showers other then the local gym. Nice a quite. Would stay there again.

For Fort Harrison RV Park: Very nice quiet campground. Check in/out process very easy. Campground Hosts we’re very helpful and are working hard to keep the place nice. Like most reviewers, the sewer drain is too high to drain properly. Adding more gravel to each site would remedy this problem. Only had a Vault Toilet and no showers. You can take a shower at the gym which is close by.

For Fort Harrison RV Park: Really nice little campground on the military base. There’s not too much tree coverage near your side, but the temperature in Montana is not that bad. The camp post and assistant camp post were very helpful, and we’re concerned about getting my size of rig into the spot (I have a 42ft Momentum THauler). The spots are actually very open and easy to get into. The only down part that I have experience so far, is that the site is unlevel. I had to put a substantial amount of blocks under my front landing gear to make my RV level. Overall it’s a really good campground, peaceful, and quiet.

For Fort Harrison RV Park: Wow! Clean and fairly easy to level our Class A motor home. They do have a “restroom “ but you will be more comfortable using your own. Easy process to reserve and extremely friendly staff and very helpful! We were able to use our satellite tv and even got some local over-the-air channels. As we have our own WiFi even great internet signals. Will definitely recommend this Famcamp and will be staying here again!
