For 50000 Silver Dollar: Excellent stop for a few nights. Off the highway just far enough to be fairly quiet (and it’s free). Restaurant has $9.95 breakfast starting at 6am, closes at 11pm. Gift shop, gas station and hotel also. Asked inside about staying 2 nights, not a problem. Some sites have power, most have a fire ring. No water or trash containers available that I can see. Definitely would return here if in the area.

For 50000 Silver Dollar: July 2020: We stay at campgrounds less than 5% of the time, preferring unimproved dispersed sites on public lands. But our plans to travel longer for the day had to be abruptly changed, so this was where we stopped for one night. Previous reviews are generally correct. About 8 of the established RV spots do have an electric service. Of those, most also have a picnic table and/or rock fire ring. Most have at least some partial shade, and maybe some scrub brush screening between sites. There are about 6-8 other picnic tables scattered around where additional RV parking is possible and apparently allowed (we parked in one all night). Those areas are not clearly marked but more like extra wide places along the gravel roads nearby the improved RV sites, where there’s room to park off the road, next to the somewhat scrubby grassy areas the tables are in. Some of these undefined spots also have some shade. The spots with electricity are all about 30-40 feet long, but some are not particularly level for that entire length. These sites vary in how close they are to one another, so privacy also varies. There are signs saying “No long-term parking” but two of the electric sites had older Class A RVs in them that looked quite well established (outdoor furniture, a half-dead potted plant or two, weed-covered electric cables). There were a couple of occupants in smaller RVs that wandered back and forth through the RV area and over to the restaurant/casino almost continuously for several hours, for no apparent purpose, often walking repeatedly within 3 or 4 feet of other’s RVs and obviously looking at and into them, but avoiding all eye contact and never reacting to “Hi” or waves of greeting. So, suspicious... A uniformed and armed law enforcement officer (didn’t see his car and I’m not familiar with all the MT uniforms so I couldn’t say what jurisdiction) also spent 30-45 minutes walking through the casino parking lot and mostly around the RV parking area, with a very well trained German Shepard. The officer appeared to inspect each RV from a short distance, but didn’t interact with anyone. We didn’t see any rules about the RV area posted anywhere, or any sign of employees doing anything in the RV area, but it was reasonably clean, for a heavily used gravel area. It was quiet during the night, except for the low rumble of about 20 commercial diesel trucks idling in their parking area closer to the highway (not loud enough to be bothersome). Despite the heavy advertisements to the contrary, the casino and gift shop both seemed pretty quiet and small. The restaurant seems to get the most business, mainly from commercial truck drivers.

For 50000 Silver Dollar: Nice place to spend the night and it’s free. Got there around 5:30 and snagged one of the last 50 amp sites. Spot was shady and other campers where quite. Bought a few things at the gift store in exchange for the free camping. Wish there were more places like this.

For 50000 Silver Dollar: Saw the sign for 50,000 $ coins on display and thought we'd stop. As we pull in we see a sign for RV park. In the back, where all the RVs are parked we see a sign that says "Free". I inquired at the store and indeed the RV parking was free and it included electric! There were at least 10 other RVs here and it felt very safe. We went into the bar and had a drink, bought some trinkets at the gift shop and lost $20 in the slot machine. (Ok, I guess it wasn't "free" after all, but we had a very nice night)

For 50000 Silver Dollar: Free parking behind the casino w/electricity, which was a plus we didn't expect. Restrooms in the casino are available from 6am to 11 pm, and all night at the gas station. No garbage cans or dump for waste water. Off the highway far enough to be reasonably quiet.Adequate for an overnight.
