For Down Stream: It was good for a two night stay on the way to Glacier NP. The host was less than personable. Checked in at the office and he handed me my site hang tag and a map and stated “rules are on the back!†The shower house was dated but clean with more than adequate hot water and flush toilets. The vault toilet houses were another story, no lights and not very well maintained. It’s a beautiful park but the flies and yellow jackets were awful!

For Down Stream: This is a really nice CoE campground by Fort Peck Lake (Missouri River). Well-spaced sites, lots of shade from large old Cottonwood trees. Our stays have been quiet. Sites have electric and water, but a single dump station. Yes, it is out of the way, but the price is right and worth the travel, especially for the fishing, which we hear is very good. We were here in a 23’ Class C, two years in a row.

For Down Stream: We travel a lot in our little 24 ft class C. We prefer to stay in nat’l parks, state parks, and dispersed areas. Down Stream Campground in Fort Peck was one of the prettiest places we have stayed. There is tons to do if you like biking, hiking, fishing, and the many activities for adults and children alike. It’s very quiet and the huge Cotton Wood Trees are incredible. We were only going to stay 1 night, but stayed 3.

For Down Stream: Like all of the Core of Engineer campgrounds we have a been to, this was clean and well-managed with large grassy spaces and shade trees. The Faranuf loop has a nice views of the bass pond and the Missouri River. Site 82 has a fabulous view of the pond and the sunset. Sites 86 and 77 have very nice views of the Missouri River. 85 is not bad either. You can see the water from all of the sites in this loop. Across the pond I saw several deer leaping around. We had an electric only hook up for nine dollars with our senior discount. Very nice!

For Down Stream: Spacious campground, most sites have some shade. Electric hookups. This campground sits at the foot of the dam not on the water but the swim beach is a short drive. Clean new construction bathrooms and showers. $20, $10 with pass. Fort Union Historic Site worth a visit.
