For Campgrounds at Barnes Crossing: A sweet little park. It is laid out well to maximize available spots. We arrived after closing, but they had envelopes and maps. We chose our site and did not have to unhook. The park is cute. We enjoyed walking around with the dogs. The sweetest horse lives next door and allowed us to visit with her for awhile. We would definitely recommend this park for a short or longer stay.

Andy
For Campgrounds at Barnes Crossing: Nice stop over place; reasonably priced and friendly staff. 4 Stars as built on a hill, the sites are pretty level but noticed many people driving up and down looking for their sites. Better if someone could bring you you your site. It's a little tight turn getting from the road into the campground with steep drop-offs but very doable if you pay attention. Our RV is 35 feet towing a car.

Ferret
For Campgrounds at Barnes Crossing: Reasonably priced with good Internet and cable TV included. Cash or Cheque only. The only reason for the four stars is no grass at the site and our dog needs to have grass to do her business on. Of course we always clean up after our dog.

For Campgrounds at Barnes Crossing: I found the staff very helpful and friendly both when making reservations and upon arrival. I stayed one night with a 30' trailer and had no problems getting in or out. Due to the close proximity of other sites in some cases, it could get to be a problem bas on the length of your rig and the placement of your neighbors. I didn't use their facilities so I can't comment on them. I plan on staying there again on my way home and on other trip through the atea.

G Man
For Campgrounds at Barnes Crossing: I would stay here again. Stayed 3 nights. No credit cards but took my check (I live in MS, about 90 miles away). Paved roads and gravel sites (fairly level and spacious; sites, not roads). Roads are pretty hilly and extreme care must be taken in big rigs. Nearly all sites have shade. All sites have picnic table and nice landscaping. Did not check out the bathrooms that other reviewers mentioned being old or dated. Not a long way from the highway so traffic noise can be heard day and night, at least on the back row where we were. About 1 mile from Barnes Crossing Mall. Many restaurants within 2 or 3 miles. Natchez Trace about 1/2 mile away.
