For Piney Grove: For most of my 2 week winter stay there was no one else here except the camp hosts. On a deep freeze one came to check on me. I stayed in site 43 which is fantastic but while many sites are widely spaced this one is quite close to site 44 out your front door, touching at the driveways though the separate at the end. Verizon signal was touch and go and there isn’t much better signal all the way to the main road. I have the largest WeBoost and it made no difference at all. One thing to note is there are only 2-3 propane fills in the county and they run out regularly - call before you go. After I got caught out several locals gave me this advice… yes I know, NOW, lol.

For Piney Grove: Beautiful campground lots of color changing trees (October) We stayed in site 12 on the water. Paved, level site, great views of the lake. Very family friendly park, lots of kids. Dark skies at night, can view off fishing pier. Good clean bathrooms and hot showers especially when someone flushes!

For Piney Grove: We really liked this park. Nice and shady with fairly level campsites. During the week, the loop we were in was nice and quiet. However, the weekend was hopping! If there was one thing we had a beef about, it would be the number of boats in the campground. Boats should not be allowed in the campground because it’s too small of a space to get around. Boats should be parked at the marina or some other designated parking area.

For Piney Grove: Stopped here fourth of July weekend with no reservation, not expecting to get a site. The very helpful girl at the gate checkin said there were no sites available but we could drive through the “ first come, first served “ area. If there was an open site we could have it. That very small, dog bone shaped area was so packed with rvs, trucks, boats, atvs and cars, we barely squeezed through one end. There were vehicles of every kind parked everywhere imaginable! It was like the worst trailer park you had ever seen. The sites in that area were very unleveled and extremely close to one another. I can not speak to the condition of the rest of the park as we left quickly. The staff we talked to were very helpful and friendly but the parking and vehicle rules need to be enforced.
We were lucky to get a site for two days at Whitten campgroung just down the road in Fulton, Ms. it is also an A.C.E. facility with extremely nice and helpful staff. BYPASS PINEY GROVE! GO TO WHITTEN !

For Piney Grove: A very nice campground with great views, level pads, clean restrooms, and large sand beach and playgrounds. The camp host were all nice and very helpful. Wish it had full hookups - I would stay for 2 weeks!!
