For George P Cossar State Park: Sewer wasn’t available due to high water. Dump station water spigot doesn’t work. Flies everywhere (July 2021).
Beautiful big wooded sites in the Yocona Ridge loop. Nice lake view, easy access for kayaks and the breeze was nice. Very quiet during the week.
We’d stay here again, but we would know to ask about sewer before arriving.

For George P Cossar State Park: This is the second time we have visited this park. First visit was very disappointing but looked like they were trying to improve. Now couple years later we tried it again and it’s even worse. Roads are terrible, sites unkept, low hanging limbs to avoid, same type of electrical problems we had last time()low voltage)I think this is probably the worse kept park we have visited in our 40 years of camping..Never again will we be back to Cossar.

For George P Cossar State Park: Pool appears to be abandoned. We stopped here be cause listed as having pool. Otherwise as advertised. Deer herd (28) allowed 7 y/o to get close. They are not afraid of humans. We are camped in 32 ft motorhome. Beautiful view close to lake.

For George P Cossar State Park: Stayed here in a motorhome. Water pipe threads don't match thread on water hoses so water squirts and no pressure. Had to use the holding tank. Permanent resident left dog outside unattended. Couldn't walk ours as the dog in question was aggressive. Another permanent resident parallel parked in front of the bath house blocking all spaces. Place was neglected. Only redeeming factors were the staff and the quiet and beautiful setting.
