For Holmes County State Park: The campground was built in the 30’s so it is old and could use some updating, but it is neat and quiet. The sites are not jammed together and most have water and electric. We were able to find a site with satellite tv service and our AT&T cell phone worked well. Cost was $15 for the night. We would stay again.

For Holmes County State Park: We called and spoke with a person who said they don't take reservations but always have sites available. We arrived 2 days later and the place looks abandoned. We stopped at the Ranger residence but no-one was there so we chose a site, after checking the electric and water were on. There are fallen trees partially cut up laying around and none of the sites have been cleaned. The bath house and restrooms are circa 1950 and need a good cleaning. The cabins in the park do appear in good condition but we have no idea how you would rent one. There is also a nice little lake with a boat launch and dock.We did finally locate the "honor" box and paid for our stay. Just a strange but quiet experience.

For Holmes County State Park: The park office is closed so you pay via the honor box attached to the office wall. Close to the interstate. We're the only ones here. Several ota stations and Verizon 3-4 LTE bars. Didn't look at the shower house. Nice lake. Boy is it quiet.

For Holmes County State Park: Camped in a truck camper .Very quiet, and slept well and at only 13 dollars for the senior discount with electricity and water you can't beat it.Campground could use a little Tlc and could be a gem.
