For Mark Twain Cave and Campground: Convenient location. Close to the very nice town of Hannibal. The campground has lots of trees so is nicely shaded. Gravel roads and site pads. Fairly well separated.
We chose an electric only site since we were only there for two nights and didn’t feel the $15/night difference was worth it. The dump station situation is strange. The official dump (#2) is actually in a site, right between two other sites. However there was a fifth wheel in that site so there was no access. When I asked at the office, they seemed surprised. They then directed me to the ‘old’ dump station. This was barely accessible and a mess. The whole area was covered in dried mud. The cap was buried. It was on the wrong side of the main campground road, so I would have had to leave the campground and turn around. Then I would be blocking the road and other campers would have to wait. So instead I went to an empty pull through site and dumped there. They need to get their act together on this.
Otherwise it was fine. I would stay again.

For Mark Twain Cave and Campground: Nice and quiet with lots of shade. Mark Twain cave is right here, which was a fun tour. No Verizon service but AT&T works. Make reservations early as we could only get electricity (no water or sewer) and generators are not allowed at all and had a hard time getting into the assigned site with our 45’ class A. Looking forward to visiting the town and taking a riverboat cruise tomorrow.

For Mark Twain Cave and Campground: Arrived Nov 12th 2020 for 2 nights. $30 / night for electric and sewer with water available at front entrance to fill our potable tank. Laundry and bathrooms were closed for off season. Very convenient to the Mark Twain caves. Quiet and peaceful with a dry creek-bed for the kids to explore and a small playground. All gravel but nice large flat spots.

For Mark Twain Cave and Campground: It will do for an overnight. Sites are right on top of each other on gravel for the most part with no real visual break. There are nice large trees that create good shade, power was in good shape, and there is a small laundry room with 2 washers and 2 dryers. Staff was not overly pleasant but efficient.

For Mark Twain Cave and Campground: Great overnight stop! Quiet, no need to unhook, mature trees, laundry and showers available (we didn’t use these facilities). Very cute town! Lots of easy in/out gas stations on the way out in the AM. Very friendly and helpful lady helped us over the phone. Would stay here again and recommend it to anyone passing through in need of a good nights rest! Full hook up site for $37/nt.

For Mark Twain Cave and Campground: Great location for exploring Mark Twain history. We were only here overnight this trip. New owners after 97 years! Very enthusiastic so I expect you’ll see upgrades and improvements. Trimming trees today to make sites more “ big rig†friendly. Pull through lots, and back in. FHU and W&E and E only, plus tent sites. Nice little laundry room at the shower house. We did not use the facilities.
We did not take the cave tour and winery was not yet open for the season. A nice, rustic, wooded campground, not a fancy “ resortâ€.

For Mark Twain Cave and Campground: Perfect spot to take in the history of Mark Twain and Tom Sawyer. The cave tour and Lover's Leap are a must. Poor Wi-Fi and Verizon phone signal, but still recommend the park.
