For St Francois State Park: $25 is a bargain. Many pull through sites. Water spigots throughout to fill your fresh water. Large sites. Flocks of Gold Finches, many Indigo Buntings, birding galore. Stayed May 1st, 2023. Pull to your site, reserve online, setup. It’s pronounced Francis. Quiet. Nice campground host, very helpful.

For St Francois State Park: The main reason we camp is to get away from the city and take in the peaceful attributes that one typically finds in our state parks. We like SFSP very much. The facilities are well looked after and the river is a cool place to be in a hot day. It’s a beautiful park, however we won’t be back because the nearby drag racing strip is loud and constant until way past midnight. I asked the campground host if this is a regular feature of the park and he replied “yes, and they are here to stay”. Too bad.

For St Francois State Park: Nice state park. Well maintained. Clean facilities. Good hiking trails and decent swimming area on the river. We have stayed here five times BUT, we will not be back again until the extremely loud nearby drag racing strip ceases weekend operations. The noise is loud and constant until early morning hours. Worse than being near train tracks or an airport. Also, the campground host should crack down on loud music / parties at campsites.

For St Francois State Park: stayed 3 days 4 nights at the park the host were great ppl. the grounds were kept up and clean. was nice to have the main bath house open 24 hrs. the only thing is if they would worry more about the rest rooms away from the the main one. they did put toilet paper in everyday. but didn't clean it or spray it for bugs. u couldn't hardly use the stool bercause of the gnats and flys. don't know how often the out the waste, wasn't done for 4 days that we were there. they worry more about a person going 5 miles over the speed limit than the the rest rooms. other that that its a very nice park.thanking the host all of them for a nice stay .
