For Baptism River - Tettegouche State Park: Mike and Cheryl here. We have a 44 foot Class A RV. Here is my review of Baptism River Campground at Tettegouche State Park. Getting to the campground was good. The roads in the campground are gravel/paved and are in terrible condition. Lots of potholes. The trees are all well trimmed. The campground office was open and everyone was friendly. Small camp store available. There is a large parking area near the office. There are no seasonal campers. No escort to site but was told where to go. The road signage to our site was good. Sites have fire pits and they sell firewood. Our site was 20, a backin site with a gravel drive and dirt patio area, with a picnic table. The site had a nice view of the forest. Our site was NOT level. Most sites are not level. Had to use all our wheel blocks. The site was dry. All sites are electric only. There is only one bath house and we had to use it everyday. There was no laundry. There is no swimming pool but there are several beach areas within a short drive. No rec room. No workout fitness room. The grounds look like they do very little on the up keep. No cable tv. No over air antenna. No Wifi but we did use our T-mobile internet. Verizon cell service poor. So here is the bad: Sites not level. Roads in terrible condition. Site was mainly dirt. The road getting to the campground is long and bumpy. I would NOT come back. Dream Big, Travel Far, Live Well...

For Baptism River - Tettegouche State Park: The quietest and darkest campground anywhere I’ve been. Which is great, unless you’re coming in after dark! It’s like feeling your way in a dark cave. But once daylight hits, you have very secluded campsites, clean bathrooms and a shower, surrounded by wonderful hikes around the area. Also they have the best Visitor Center on earth.
