For Woodenfrog Campground: $17 seems a bit much for dry camping. No lifetime senior pass discount applies. Site 42 is long enough for our 30’ trailer. We were there in October, so all water is off. Vault toilets . It’s quiet and there is lots of wildlife. You pay with the Yodel system online or you can mail payment later. Yodel was convenient. You can collect fallen limbs and branches for your campfire.

For Woodenfrog Campground: Not much has changed since earlier reviews. Lovely place near the lake which means there will be bugs. But, that is why mosquito repellent was invented. Primitive camping with pit toilets and potable water nearby so if that is not your style of camping, then this may not be what you are looking for. It was perfect for us. AND, for a FCFS, no reservation campground, there were plenty of sites on a Monday afternoon in early August. Would certainly return.

JB

For Woodenfrog Campground: Sept 2020: We have a 37’ Class A RV and had no problem! We stayed at site 42 which was fabulous! We were able to level our jacks just fine and there was a path that led down to the lake with a small dock. We did unhook our Jeep and I drove that in separately. The site was large enough for both vehicles. I would absolutely stay here again. It was perfect! And yes, there were some mosquitos but no more than to be expected.

Colofornia Refugees

For Woodenfrog Campground: If you want a Norman Rockwell camping experience this is the place to be. Imagine sleeping in a canvas tent, cooking over an open fire, smoking a pipe and catching fish for dinner. Trees all around and a lake nearby. If you’re into glamour camping then stay at one of the nearby resorts. No electricity. No water (turned off for the season). No sewer except for the stinky outhouses. Lots of privacy with dense trees and spacious sites. Many sites long enough to accommodate 50+ foot long trailers but most better used for tents, pop ups and truck campers. Bring mosquito repellent.

Just a camper

For Woodenfrog Campground: Nice forest campground with almost level sites. Primitive. One negative while we were there: Bugs, bugs and more bugs. We could not be outside at all.

Marty

For Woodenfrog Campground: Beautiful. Quiet. Site 38 on the lake was absolutely perfect. Don't go by without staying a night.
