For KOA Journey Minneapolis Northwest: Forget my previous review. I came back here cuz it’s a cheap place with mid quality. The laundry is cheap and fast but not 24/7. The water feels like it doesn’t have a softener filter in the shower. The staff seemed friendly… at first. And no one bothered me. Even the other campers were friendly. But this week I have never felt so unwanted at a campground before. The owner’s son was very passive aggressive with me. I came too early for check in and all the staff acted like I commited a crime. Relax sometimes people leave early and if no one was in my spot then why not let me fill it? I was hoping not expecting. I ignored all their pettiness. Until the owner asked what I was doing and when I’m leaving while I’m at the dump station. Then she relayed it someone at the office. I don’t know who but I bet it was her son. I have no idea what I did to make this guy hate me but he did not like me. The first week I stayed they were friendly. I only saw them at check in but still. This week I saw them more and they were very passive aggressive and made me feel like I wasn’t wanted at their campground. I don’t know if someone complained or if I just have a punchable face. And yes someone has told me that before. Either way, I don’t like being somewhere I am not wanted. So I’m never coming back to this place.

For KOA Journey Minneapolis Northwest: Water smells which you really get while in the shower. And it makes your skin feel … coated. Like when using dove soap. Laundry isn’t 24 hrs but cheap and quick. Staff is very friendly. Spots are slightly uneven. I didn’t take out my blocks. Overall it’s alright. I use my gym shower and it very quiet so easy shut eye. Plus it’s located near a Walmart so easy shopping.

Henry

For KOA Journey Minneapolis Northwest: Water and electric on right side of site instead of left requiring cable and hose to be run under motor home. Single water pipe coming out of ground is shared with adjacent site so water pressure is dependent on what adjacent site is doing.

For KOA Journey Minneapolis Northwest: Well, We have stayed at this RV Park, many, many times since 2008 (11 years). We have family and most the time we just get a 30 AMP pull thru and depart the coach and stay elsewhere untill we depart. The one pro is: it’s one of the only locations on the north side of the metro. That’s where the pros end. This park has had no updating in many years, I mean many. The laundry list of things are many, but the most glaring: old sites, lots of low spots, where water and mud are most of the time. Not a perfect entry to the actual sites, Power is good, water is good, Zero WiFi (can’t believe how slow) they announce that there is no live streaming (one could NEVER live stream), no cable, and it’s an expensive park. This place needs so much work!

Danielle

For KOA Journey Minneapolis Northwest: Stayed for one night as a stopover. Owners were very nice and accommodating. Didn’t check out laundry or bathrooms but the Campground is very pretty, clean and well maintained, we had no worries letting our toddler run around outside. The playground is nice, fenced off, just isn’t really geared towards toddler age. No issues getting in with our 45’ fifth wheel and had plenty of room at our site. Utilities were all on the same side. Would definitely stay here again!

For KOA Journey Minneapolis Northwest: A nice stop over campground. Bathrooms were fairly nice. Nicer sites in the back (120’s which would be better if staying for more then one night. We stayed in site 40 and 41 smaller sites but adequate for our one night stay. Our site was closer to the road so there was some noise, but campground in general was quiet. Location is close to town if you need supplies. Hosts were very pleasant as well and led us to our sites.
