For Harbortown RV Resort: Have family in the area and stayed a few days. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful, the store was well stocked and the weekend theme for the kiddos seemed as well run as you could. The grounds are very well kept, which adds a few extra rules revolving around how long you keep tents and mats on the grass. Everything is concrete so no issues with dust or leveling. Essentially a very well maintained place. Only complaint has to do with the train, which obviously they can’t control, but could see how if your closer it could be an issue. We were about as far as one can get, and the weather was nice so we didn’t have the AC on and windows were open. If your a light sleeper you may have an issue. Second the karts,putt-putt, and batting cages don’t really have a bundle package that makes sense from a pricing standpoint. If you ride karts all day yes you save, but if you change it up to do batting cage or putt putt, you lose money. All in all they are probably one of the nicer campgrounds in the area and I would stay again if we can confirm being as far as possible from the tracks.

For Harbortown RV Resort: We have stayed here for 10 years but NO MORE! The staff especially the owner is hostile, rude and just need to find another business. The owners attitude passes down to the employees and it’s a shame. The playground is an actual hazard. The dumpsters are always overfilling, the sites are small, everything floods, the grassy areas are always muddy, there’s roaches and earwigs and more spiders than I’ve ever seen. The firewood is expensive! You have to buy a car pass and guests are charged, the Halloween events are SO expensive for what you get, couldn’t be more disappointed. The bathrooms are dirty, the whole quality of the place has gone WAY downhill in the past few years, it’s just so bad we can’t go back anymore. The DJ also caters to the new crowd and it’s not family fun, more like a outside out of control teen party blasting rap music with nasty language. NOT APPROPRIATE FOR CHILDREN! There’s just way too many reasons, please pass! River Rasin is also open year round and close by. They have also lost more mail packages than I can count. Everyone complains the sewer hookups leak. ALL the water hookups leak. ALL OF THEM! There’s a train that goes by so close you can see it, it basically runs next to the park so it’s loud…and it runs a few times a day and all hours of the night. The fire pits are all sideways, falling apart and sinking. The new crowd just drives like they are on city streets, no caution what so ever. The store they have is always out of everything so it shouldn’t be advertised. It’s more of a pain to come here than relaxing, even if your traveling for work…too many problems here. It’s like the owner is so bitter he wants it to fail. Sad.

For Harbortown RV Resort: We looked forward to our last camping trip of the season at Harbortown RV Resort. This is a long-time tradition we shared with our family and friends. Unfortunately, this will be the last year for us. Because this was an October weekend it is considered a holiday weekend (much higher cost). Your visitors must pay $4.00 per person to come in. We purchased an additional car pass for $8.00 plus the one that comes with our lot. Our adult children were coming out for dinner Saturday night, so we gave our pass to our kids to come in for dinner and we parked our car across the street form Harbortown in a large plaza parking lot. We have done this for years. The plaza has a newer owner and the plaza is posted with a sign stating Jim’s Towing will tow vehicles that are left on the plaza. The owner of the plaza called Jim’s Towing because there were several vehicles in the plaza, they wanted them towed. (I noticed they have Robert’s security patrolling the plaza). Jim’s towing told the owner they didn’t want to tow those vehicles because they knew those people would be so upset. They didn’t care. To eliminate this situation, Jim’s towing called Harbortown and asked them to announce over the loudspeaker for people to move their cars. Harbortown decided they were to busy to do that (direct quote from the manager to me). In the morning when we were getting ready to leave, I stopped the manager to talk over the situation. I told her exactly what happened. Our children came in for a bowl of chili and we purchased the extra pass for them to come in. The manager was very smug and said she doesn’t have time to announce over the loudspeaker about the cars being towed. In closing I would like to thank Jim’s Towing for taking good care of our vehicle. I do not blame them. The plaza owner has every right to post his parking lot. Harbortown, Dave, and manager you should be ashamed! I know most of the people who were affected by this experience blame Jim’s Towing and should not. Your anger should be directed to Harbortown. They had the opportunity to diffuse the situation but decided to ignite it. Campers beware, we paid $415 for the tow and impound. We made a new memory and will never forget! Karma.

For Harbortown RV Resort: This is what it is billed as. A family friendly RV Park. So if lotsa kids being everywhere of all ages isn’t your thing then stick to week days here or pass. It was great for our family of 5. Lots are close but gives you plenty reason to meet your neighbor. Went on Memorial Day weekend and it was packed. Couldn’t get their cable to work even with booster off.

For Harbortown RV Resort: Next to ten rail road tracks everything is over priced even though it's not that nice. Rude manager possibly owner. People think the speed limit is 20 thru the park which sucks because your always worried about kids. I will never return even though it's only 15 min away and simple

For Harbortown RV Resort: Location is very good, easy off Rt75 and near Detroit area sights. This is a large campground. Sites are very close together.lots of bathrooms with showers, not always clean.we were on a corner site, pretty easy pull thru, but small to sit outside. We left on a Sat, lots of families, kids on bikes etc. We would probably try to find a different campground in the area.
