For South - Indian Lake State Park: Sites are close to the water. Most are small. The park contains a lot of private picnic area along the lakefront. Canoe and kayak rentals not in service due to COVID. Also had a drinking water issue so fresh water filling needs to be done offsite. This also means bath houses are closed and replaced with portapots. Be prepared to pay for park admission along with camping fees for duration of your stay.

For South - Indian Lake State Park: Our first “Roughing it†site. Electricity only. Means we had to flush the winterizing out of our fresh water tank and severely conserve water. So what? We had to learn how to do that anyway. Our site was ginormous for backing in (I’m still mastering that). Neighbors helped. Beach and water were very nice. Lots of lavatories and showers.

For South - Indian Lake State Park: Beautiful wooded area. Small sites, very tight when crowded. Like most MI State Parks... user fees make them too expensive for we out of state campers. Won’t come this way again.

For South - Indian Lake State Park: Beautiful view and kids loved the beach. middle loop sites extremely close together. Less than 10 feet between fire pits and limited trees. The bath houses were some of the cleanest I’ve ever seen. Well maintained park overall. Outside loop sites on both water and wooded side seemed nice.

For South - Indian Lake State Park: Very nice campground. We heard the lake is shallow and gets relatively warm late summer, a nice feature in the UP. Level sites ranged from full shade to full sun. Many were grassy. Our site was next to the well used play area. A great place for kids. Toilets/showers were clean and pleasant. Highly recommended. We paid $25/night, the $8 online reservation fee, plus the required Wisconsin park pass: non-resident annual $32 or daily $9. We plan to return, despite the somewhat remote location. We enjoyed visiting Big Spring just a short drive around the lake. The self-propelled glass bottom raft allowed us to see huge fish through the crystal clear spring water.

For South - Indian Lake State Park: Very nice Campground on Indian Lake. Sure front space is available and 20 amp service is available. On June 6 I did not find it to buggy. Not many campers and great sunsets. Bathrooms were about a four stars. Boats and kayaks are available to rent and fishing/swimming are steps away. I would highly recommend this place.
