For Highway to Haven Family Campground: Horrible campground.
That all I’ll say, been traveling fulltime for 6 years and never experienced such a horrible campground. Avoid staying here at all costs

For Highway to Haven Family Campground: Due to an accident that required up to change plans, we were desperate for a campground for Memorial weekend. They had sites available when no one else had any(guess why?). Man told me verbally that I could cancel up to 72hrs in advance for a $10 fee. I asked for a confirmation of the site and contract, but he said my CC receipt was all I could get. They claim you can read their policy on the website which doesn’t work!
I called Tuesday AM to cancel the Friday reservation and they changed the cancellation policy to 72 hrs not including the day of arrival.
Needless to say lady was very uncooperative and wasn’t worried about getting more negative reviews. She just said go ahead-not giving any refund.
I have contacted my cc company and disputed. Stay away from these people!

For Highway to Haven Family Campground: Get what you pay for. It is pet friendly, nice picnic tables at each site. Traffic and train noise diminishes at night. Bathrooms old but clean. Play ground area shabby. Wifi weak, absolutely no amenities. The worst part is the rude owner from the minute we arrived to within fifty feet of leaving the place. Accusing me of speeding and yelling at me to never return which is not a problem here.

For Highway to Haven Family Campground: The campground hosts at this park are very nice. Yes, there are rules of no glass bottles by the fire pit and 5mph in the campground and you are sandwiched between a railroad track and a busy highway. However, with the PA discount, it is a good bargain. Just keep a fan or some white noise going at night. The train didn’t whistle.
Be aware that the road going into the campground goes through a back street of a car dealership. All kits are grass and in our case muddy because of several days of rain.

For Highway to Haven Family Campground: Campsite near 31 highway. The noise from the highway was very loud. Our site right behind the work shed. Not good. Bathrooms need work and they had NO paper towel or hand blowers. Plus you get yelled at for going 1mph over the 5mph speed limit. The owners really LIKE their Rules and there are a lot of them. Oh yes NO glass bottles or containers at all. Really!! Only good point - close to town.

For Highway to Haven Family Campground: So the other reviewer is largely right. It is near a highway and you do hear traffic all night and yes it looks a bit run down in places, but to a weary cyclist it was indeed paradise. why? Because the owner host was warm, friendly, and went out of her way to make me feel welcome. It was safe with a large grocery store near by and the alternative was eating, sleeping, and cooking in the sand at the state park.

not so happy camper
For Highway to Haven Family Campground: Absolutely horrible. The bathrooms were far from clean. The "play ground" was a joke. Nothing for kids to do. Not much Shade provided. Right next to th3 highway for you sleeping pleasure..you can listen to all the motorcycles and cars racing by, and in top of all this my entire family was awakened by a train going thru on sone very close train tracks. I literally had to look out the window, as I thought a train had derailed and was coming straight for us. We were also unable to use out firepit at all, because the lots were so small our tiny popup camper hung OVER our pit. Don't waste your money.
