For Proud Lake Recreation Area: Not good unless you have 10 unruly kids. The would fit in. Unlevel, dirt sites and by the time you add in the extra charges it is $48. The bathroon looks nice but with 500 guests and only a few stalls guess what you get. Won't be going to another MI state park after this experience

For Proud Lake Recreation Area: On the positive side the sites are spacious, the bathrooms are clean and modern, and the lake provides good views, pretty sunsets and recreational activities. BUT, the sites extremely unlevel causing problems for longer RVs and there is separation or privacy between sites. Sites are all grass (no parking or camping pads) and simply one right after another. Noise enforcement is nonexistent, so the lack of privacy exacerbates the issue. I would look elsewhere next time.

For Proud Lake Recreation Area: 1st campground i stayed in w my family before moving out if state. Tho no water at sites it is available thru out park not far. They do have showers - which i did not see on this or their website. Sites are spacious. They have a basketball court horseshoe pit and canoe rental. Very beautiful park.
