For Whiting Park: We stayed in our 19ft trailer for 4 nights in the rustic area. We found the site descriptions to be accurate. And we had no trouble. Our site had a sloped entry and leveled off. We did not need any leveling blocks at all. Most sites have a good mix of sun and shade. And we loved being steps from the beach and beautiful Lake Charlevoix. Swimming and paddle boarding are super convenient. We also loved waking to a lovely sunrise over the lake. Near the office are nice wooded hiking trails, horse shoe pits, and there are a couple of playgrounds for kids. It seems very family friendly. Our stay was very quiet in spite of a full park for the holiday weekend. The office staff was really friendly and the rangers cleaned the bathrooms and emptied the trash throughout the park multiple times a day. We also enjoyed being close to shopping and restaurants in several nearby towns. Overall, the only thing I’d change would be to have more electric sites. It’s a small park and may not be suitable for big rigs. But it was perfect for us! It’s a hidden gem!

For Whiting Park: Campground does not have 44 FHU's, has 4 or 5. Most sites are electric only. Majority of sites are very steep, was unable to level coach on my site, left campground and looked elsewhere. The stats on this campground need serious updates.
