I value the reviews left here, so I felt I needed to leave an honest review in hopes it will help someone else.
Meadowbrook Camp Sites, Phippsburg, Maine
We stayed here for almost 2 weeks. During that time there was a sewage smell near the bathhouse. The sites are not level and most are not shaded or very wide. We also had brown water and were extremely thankful for our multiple water filters.
We paid for a 30 amp service, but had low voltage the entirety of our stay. The solution that was proposed, was that we remove our Watchdog EMS and Surge protector. We decided to keep our Watchdog on. They had several campsites on the same breaker, something we have never seen at any campground in our 3 years of travel. On our last day, we didn't even have enough voltage to keep fans running inside our RV. Please be aware that low voltage seems to be an ongoing problem as an RV behind us had an electrical cord burn up while we were there.

For Meadowbrook Camping: Friendly staff, sensible pricing, not many camp grounds have a live lobster rank that you select your diner and they cook it for you! Lots of activities planned Road inside the grounds is a little rough and rocky as is the entire state !

For Meadowbrook Camping: Reasonably priced campground with wooded sites. Lots of activities, plus onsite lobster meal service. Friendly, helpful management, fairly clean facilities.

For Meadowbrook Camping: Mde a reservation a yr ago, called this week, 2 wks before planned trip, and was told by the owner, Chris, that there was no record of our receipt. The owner blew it off, saying there was nothing he could ( or wanted to)
I have a copy of our paid reciept in my hand, but it wasn't worth the paper it was written on. So now our camping trip is ruined for this yr, after 15 yrs of going there.
Do not sign up for a site in advance.
VERY SAD WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS ! Never going back !!
Management Response
Steve, That statement is not entirely accurate, I have your reservation here on a 50 amp electric water and sewer for the dates you requested. You were just not on the campsite you believed you were on. Your initial reservation was made on 20F which is a smaller lot used for seasonal stays (That campsite has been occupied by one seasonal or another for some 25 years) but when I went in to make their booking I found that you were already reserved there. Knowing that you did not request this spot I upgraded you to from a 30 amp to a 50 amp Electric water and sewer campsite at no additional charge. It is one of the largest in the park and I thought you would be pleased at the upgrade, because it is a corner lot it is very roomy and has a very large front lawn and it is not under the trees as I know from past reservations is your preference. I was as surprised as you when you called stating that you were supposed to be on lot 18 because, as I indicated in our conversation, I had no record of you being on lot 18 in 2017. I couldn't in good conscience move the 4 reservations that were booked on 18 as you suggested, which is why I offered you a full refund if the new lot was not satisfactory to you. I did make the cancellation as you requested this mooring and would like to invite you to come camping with us in the future for a week on me. I cannot determine where the mix up occurred but am willing to make every effort in my power to rectify the situation. I will be sending you a Gift certificate via email as well as documenting it in the comments section associated with your customer information should you chose to accept. We hope to see you again soon. Chris
