For KOA Journey Houlton: We stayed here for five months in 2021 at a seasonal site. New owners bought the campground in 2020 and turned it into a KOA. They are doing a wonderful job updating the campground. They installed a swimming pool in 2022 and are making other improvements. Highly recommended!

For KOA Journey Houlton: This is a beautiful park, well spaced grass parking sites with full hookups. The park is well maintained with manicured grass, ponds, walking trails and large trees. The new owners do their upmost to make their campers happy. Verizon service is ok, did not use WiFi but there is no TV reception. To me, this is a perfect RV Park. We are here for 1 week.

For KOA Journey Houlton: Very nice grounds with all grass and no dirt or gravel. Site was level and hookups worked fine. Wi-fi was pretty slow. Nice area for walking among the trees and pond. Bathroom looked clean and well maintained.

For KOA Journey Houlton: Well manicured grass sites. WiFi a little weak. No TV but a nice library of DVDs in the office. Shower stalls are of the small variety. Good hot water.

Doc
For KOA Journey Houlton: Nice grassy sites and good cable and WiFi
The problem with this park is that the restroom stalls are filthy. Whoever cleans them must never close the door to see what the interior looks like. Gross stuff growing there.
Would not stay again.

Doc
For KOA Journey Houlton: We stayed one night and have mixed feelings about this park.
One nice feature was the beautifully manicured grass cites. I have never seen such a place where one could go barefoot most of the time. It was soft and lush. Outside carpeting is discouraged for more than two days.
Another nice feature is the robust WiFi.
There is a restaurant on site but we did not try it.
The bad thing about the park is the restrooms. They have the dreaded little round toilets. One is very low and the other slightly higher. Most men in the demographic that enjoy RVing are a little larger than someone who would find an extremely small toilet comfortable.
AND, whoever cleans them should be fired. The toilet itself is clean but once you sit down and look at the closed door and walls...well it is seriously gross with who knows what growing. I guess the cleaner just leans in and scrubs the appliance without looking at the overall situation.
No more stays for us.

SueH
For KOA Journey Houlton: Large, grassy, level sites. Clean and neatly kept. Had nice mowed hiking trails. Lovely setting. Would have given them a five if their wifi had worked. We just came from Canada and we we're wanted to be connected since our AT&T service didn't work in Houlton.
