For Shore Hills Campground and RV Park: Two years ago I reviewed this park as a ‘ good value ‘, but now, I must agree with the Doc review below, pettiness. They charge about $52.00 a night with a long list of do’s and don’t, very old yet very clean shower houses, great cable television, personal trash cans at each site. I would stay here again just because it’s almost the only game in town, but come on, update the shower houses and don’t charge me for a shower while I’m paying $52.00 a night.

For Shore Hills Campground and RV Park: Very wooded park. Only sat friendly sites are in the big rig section but the cable tv is excellent. For 2 bucks you catch the shuttle to Boothbay Harbor. You wait 4 hours for them to come get you or take a cab back for $10. Downtown a lobster roll will run about $25. If you stop at Tracy’s food trailer just up the road away from town you’ll get one just as good for $15. The facilities are very dated...I have never seen smaller toilet stalls. Plus they are “low boys” My wife was surprised to learn after undressing for shower that she needed a handful of quarters to get hot water. PO’esd to say the least. Pettiness personified.

For Shore Hills Campground and RV Park: Five stars because the park is well laid out, the RV sites are spacious and the staff is wonderful. Even near the road I couldn't hear road noise inside our camper. The park is well maintained but we didn't use the restroom or shower facilities. They only take cash or checks; no credit cards. No problem as they told us this when we made our reservation. All this said, I'm not young and this park doesn't cater to kids. There isn't any pool and the playground is old (but well maintained). I bring my own WiFi so I don't know how good the park WiFi is. This park is perfect for us.

For Shore Hills Campground and RV Park: Very nice place to stay. Prices are a little lower than most places we've stayed along the coast. Shower houses are older but clean. Good interior roads. Verizon 2 dot LTE. Cable television was clear with more than enough channels. Shuttle service to the harbor area. I had no issues driving a Chinook Concourse along the harbor streets. Very scenic area. And yes, go eat at Karens!! Stayed on site 8. This place is a good value.

For Shore Hills Campground and RV Park: We stayed in site 81 with water/electric hookup for a week in 7/2015. The site was a good size although in the future sites 76-78 are quite a bit more spacious along the bay. Our 35' 5th wheel fit site 81 nicely and the views were good- this campground is on a bay- not the ocean so during low tide it's a mud flat but don't let this discourage you as the high tide water views are very nice.
Staff is very pleasant.
Close to convenient local seafood places and groceries: Highly recommend Karen's Hideaway for takeout lobster rolls down the street / don't be put off by the trailer as the food is REALLY good. also BETS Shack is really good too... There is a local Hannaford supermarket nearby.

This is in a good location to visit Booth Bay Harbor only abt 10min drive up the road- where we spent most of our time.
You'll hear steam train whistles now and then as the Railroad Village across the street is another close attraction (pet friendly) and worth the visit.
