Brenda
For Annapolis FamCamp: Small and tucked away in the woods, close to everything in Annapolis, good price for the area ($22 a night). Easiest way to make reservations is to call (877) Navy Bed, phones answered 24/7, or call the MWR office 9-5, leave a message. Campground is accessed off Kinkaid Road; past the Exchange/Commissary, make a right turn thru two huge black and white anchors, entrance is to the right across from parking lot. Check in is at the office on base about a mile away - Caution - the entrance gate (with guard) is very narrow and requires a sharp left turn. The guard shack awning was torn off by a camper that didn't make the turn. You can drop your trailer or toad at the parking lot by the campground and drive in. We got over 40 tv channels off our antenna, bathhouse is nothing to write home about, no laundry facilities, water and 30 Amp worked fine, and the dump site was roped off with a sign asking us to use the dump located behind the nearby gas station. We expected more considering this is the Naval Academy's RV Park, but we survived.

For Annapolis FamCamp: Great reservation system. MWR personnel are very poor about answering the phone during the day.The GPS coordinates on this website are wrong. Difficult to navigate the camp in a large rig. Only has 30 amp service and no sewer at each site. The water was brown out of our site. I was told to let it run on the ground for a while. Central dump station difficult to navigate with a large rig. Bathrooms have been updated. Cannot get local TV or satellite. Very quiet wooded and secluded camp, but only a mile from the BEX.

Wanderer
For Annapolis FamCamp: This is perhaps the worst military site we've ever stayed at. The sites are concrete but not level, the hook ups don't work on some of the sites and the staff is not knowledgable. They originally put us in a spot with a dripping water hook up, we asked to move and got the run around for 20 minutes because the mwr staff who checks you in doesn't correspond with the reservation people. The bath house is old and dingy. The actual camp ground is tricking to navigate. It is hilly with tight corners, especially to the dump station (which doesn't have a water hook up. We won't be coming back.

LALS2B
For Annapolis FamCamp: Reserve your spot at 877-628-9233. They do not assign spots. After hours, find the camp host at space 9. Very friendly and helpful. Weekdays check in at rec bldg.,
89 Bennion Rd. after the guard gate, it's on the left with the big blue awning.
We love this rustic campground. I would not like it changed and updated as others have mentioned. There are concrete pads to park on, but everything else is dirt and grass. There is one dump station at the bath house but not at each site. The bath house is old military cinder block, but it is clean.
This park is very quiet/peaceful and in a forest. The sites have distance between rigs compared to RV parks with bells and whistles where many rigs are like sardines in a can. This is a quiet spot to overnight while you visit Annapolis by day. There are no family activities like parks, fishing, boating, etc. in the immediate RV park as it is very small (20 spots). There is a huge new Commisary and Exchange within walking distance. There is a large nicely groomed golf course behind the Commisary.

Gunny TQ
For Annapolis FamCamp: For a primer academy, this is very disappointing. Sites are marginal and staff is poor. Webster and staff said to call before arriving but they don't answer or call back. When I found office, clerk was sleeping and another worker could hardly say hello. This is a reflection of poor command staff.
Sites are not kept up and half of them have broken item. The light outside my site is unplugged so night is difficult without a flashlight. Very poor for this place

GD
For Annapolis FamCamp: Well, i wanted to pass along some information. It was late on Saturday and we tried to call for a site. We had a bit of runaround. Although all the signs in the camp and bathrooms referred to the outdoor rec, they no longer have control over that camp ground. The people we did reach on the phone were friendly but could only refer us to a different number. We did an online reservation and they emailed the confirmation to us. The email did not list a site and since we got in late we just took an open site.
Oh the sign pointing you in was very hard to spot at night

Cajun Cracker
For Annapolis FamCamp: We camped in a motor home for 4 days. We would definitely return. Small campground , cement pads with water & electric but a dump station. No laundry . The base exchange and commissary is small but a huge new one s being built. The on base club has good food at reasonable price. MWR was ver helpful and saved us a lot of money by finding out we did not need tickets to a site we were going. Very close to downtown Annapolis and the
Naval Academy.
