For Pinewood Lodge Campgrounds: This is a large campground cut into a forest of tall pines a short distance from major development and transportation hubs which make it a good location for visits to Boston, Cape Cod and Newport, RI. A lot of the sites are occupied by seasonal campers which means it's pretty quiet during the week but weekends bring the party crowd with loud music and lots of smoke hanging in the air. Be aware there is also a shooting range nearby so if you or your pets are bothered by shooting throughout the day and evening, consider another park. The campground streets off of the main arteries are single-lane, winding and hilly, but not restricted on direction so better hope you don't encounter someone going the opposite direction. Pinewood Lodge does a nice job of accommodating their campers needs with a camp store, propane, firewood a small swimming beach and planned activities. However, be prepared to pay resort pricing for less than resort facilities. The restrooms and laundry facilities are old with moldy, dirty floors and showers are coin-op. Good thing we have our own restroom and there are laundromats in the area.

For Pinewood Lodge Campgrounds: Very well run Campground nice staff. Beach itself was well maintained but water seemed to have a high iron content. Swam in it but would prefer much cleaner water.

For Pinewood Lodge Campgrounds: Stayed two nights. Older campground on a picturesque lake but well maintained. Handicap facilities too. Staff was very nice. We were rattled awake by constant gunfire on a Sunday morning from a shooting range across the lake. Not for those with PTSD. I’m not sure the sound carries through the entire campground. Nice swimming beach on the lake would be great for those with kids. It was quiet in the afternoon and evening. Would come again.

For Pinewood Lodge Campgrounds: Stayed here 2 nights, lots of trees no chance for satellite. Staff was nice. Weird dog walking policies. We would have stayed more days; because of proximity to Boston area; but they were booked. Overpriced for what they offered.
