For Bayou Segnette State Park: This was a wonderful place to stay while visiting NOLA. The campground had paved sites. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The best part was they provide FREE laundry facilities with very nice machines. In the summer there is a wave pool and swimming pool. Would recommend and stay here again.

For Bayou Segnette State Park: Stayed again, and just as nice as last year. Used laundry: Two nice, clean laundry areas (one in each restroom/shower/laundry building, one in each loop). Machines are free; however, only one washer (of two) working in each building when we were there.

For Bayou Segnette State Park: Pleasant park with spacious sites. Definitely take the Algiers Ferry to the Quarter but check the schedule first. Also, local fishermen sell their catch at an open air market just outside the park, turn right and go to the light.

For Bayou Segnette State Park: Great, quiet, affordable park just south of the craziness of NOLA! Paved roads and sites, wave pool and boat launch, fishing and birding all here. Gate at front was locked at night, back entrance was a bit sketchy and dark. Wooden patios, it had just rained a ton before we arrived and the parking site and patio were above the water, the fire ring was submerged for 2 days. Slow WiFi, Water and Electric only, dump station was closed when we left ?. Wide sites with some shade, free laundry, wooden raised walkways through the bayou to the laundry room that were a pleasant surprise. Also, floating cabins here on the water might be fun! If there was sewer and better WiFi, this would be awesome! We will stay here again.

For Bayou Segnette State Park: Stayed for a week just before Marci Gras and they were already busy. Nice park, nice RV area, good facilities (no dump at sites, though). Very widely-spaced sites, paved and pretty level. Park also has boat launch and other park facilities. (A little excitement while there: Tornado warning--turned out to hit a bit to the north and east. I know about earthquakes, but not tornados.)

For Bayou Segnette State Park: Close to New Orleans...good sized lots...paved roads and pads...free laundry...wifi is weak...but overall facilities and price make it a very good place to stay...

For Bayou Segnette State Park: Nice park, heavy use, close to New Orleans, cheap, free laundry, wifi ok for basics, clean unless idiots check in. Rangers are helpful and very nice and made us feel safe. As you will be close to a big city, practice locking your doors and putting your stuff away. Lots of dogs and happy people. Campsites are spacious and there are concrete slabs! We were very grateful to find this place.
