For Tom Merrill Recreation Area: Small campground, mostly quiet except when kids run amok for a while in playground. No sat through trees. One blip of Verizon, useless. Easy in and out of accessible site 5, but pedestal on wrong side and had to use water from next site, also on wrong side. Coming in on state highway is fine, dump at top, took 3-point turns for us in big rig, campground down hill and to left. Signage could have been clearer, but it worked. Host came over to greet us and ask if we had a water splitter in case other site was taken because hydrant was broken. She also told us about a couple stray cats abandoned at park, just in case we wanted another cat…shooting range close by. Lots of hunters with ATVs on trailers, so must be open season for something. Reservoir pretty dry Fall 2023.

For Tom Merrill Recreation Area: Nice sites with level concrete pads. Great mountain bike trails. We don’t live far away but like to set up our camper and enjoy the trails on the weekends. Peaceful and fun. Fishing and canoeing also…There’s a little store just down the road with pretty much anything you need for supplies.
