For Houma RV Park: Very simple park, mainly working folks that live in RVs stay here. A little pricey for what you get, no showers or restrooms but all sites are full hookups. No real good place to walk dogs but can make do. Shelled parking area so no mud! Quiet park other than some traffic noise as it is close to the main road. Walmart is close for shopping and a hospital is very close for emergencies. There is a fire station across the side street. Overall I liked the park.

For Houma RV Park: The two star rating is based on the extremely loud noise coming from the road which seems to be busy all night long. This is probably the noise used RV park I have ever stayed in. The utilities were reasonably well laid out. 50 amp service route good. Wi-Fi was virtually unusable. No cable. No restroom. Unfortunately there is an extreme lack of RV parks close to Houma so whether I use it again would depend on how badly I wanted to visit Houma.

For Houma RV Park: While I didn't STAY, this park is incredibly close to home, so I can tell everyone what I can see about this one.
It is located on Grand Caillou Rd., just past Industrial Blvd. (which has a hospital a short walk away called Chabert (SHAH-bear) Medical Center (which saved my LIFE 3 yrs ago!) Thought it is so close to it that ppl should know that it's that close in case of medical stuff and if family members need to stay close it's perfect for that.
That aside, it isn't far from an intersection that turns from 4 lanes to 2, and it's right there. Not too hard to get out except perhaps work traffic. Stay off the road 5pm...the industrial/oilfield businesses let so many off at the same time from a number of companies and it's a complete PAIN to be stuck in their afternoon traffic! (Trust me...my husband works in the middle of it all, a mile or two down the road. We have lived it for 25 yrs.!) Also, as above, great place to stay if you're perhaps moving here for oilfield work and need a place close.
The park itself is immediately next door to a very small smoke shop/convenience store great for immediate needs, but Wal-Mart and some grocery and [bad] stores are aren't far but you see all those coming in so it's easy. But the "park" that *I* see starts right by the road, behind fencing of some kind, on what looks to be a shell parking lot and the RV's begin right close to that noisy road. It does calm down a lot at night (but don't forget the hospital and the cars at all hours from that, plus any passing ambulances may scare the crap out of you! And I can't see much else. No greenery or trees that I can see. Until I get a better, closer view that's all I have, till I can get there close enough to just walk in and take a few snaps, perhaps find someone to talk to. That's it. Please email if you want pictures, I can do that NP. :-)
