For Lake Shelby Campground: Stopped here for an overnight on our way home. Stayed in the only spot with full hook ups. Picnic table and fire pit were on the drivers side, so weird and useless. Firepit was full of trash. Cigarette butts everywhere. A lot of sketchy characters driving into the campground, doing a lap, and then leaving. Would not stay here again. Go over to Taylorsville if you want an affordable spot in this area.

For Lake Shelby Campground: Small fishing lake/dam attached to scenic working tree farm and larger golf/baseball/soccer/swimming complex. Lovely surroundings and very noisy geese honking at all hours. Host was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the local critters. Bathroom was gross with walls covered in years of dead and things and fluids from the shower pooling in corners for what looks like months. This review would be lower but the swimming/community center up the hill past the ball fields is part of the same park system and let me use the gym bathrooms which were nice but get full of sports teams in the afternoon. If you have your own toilet/shower this place is very nice.

For Lake Shelby Campground: Good for an over night for smaller rigs. Park is in a very pretty setting. Cons- bathroom needs a deep clean & more frequent cleaning. Who ever does painting, maintenance & repair leaves something to be desired. Price is good & not far off High way.

For Lake Shelby Campground: Small campground with pads for 20-25 foot trailers and rv's. Only 10 sites but what a beautiful place! sits on a lake and everyone has lake access and views. Water and Electric 30 & 50. They do have a dump station. Nice trails and a great place to stay. We paid $22 for one night stay. Also great for tents and fishing.

Glamper Camper 
For Lake Shelby Campground: Nice small county run campground with concrete level pads. Water & electric, picnic bench, fire pit at the site. Some folks were fishing. Camp host was pleasant. Very quiet at night other than the sounds of a train In the distance. Would stay here again. We have a 28 foot motor home.

For Lake Shelby Campground: very nice little CG on a very small marina. we spent one night on our way to SD a nd would stay again. only 10 sites. no prices listed anywhere. no camp host when we arrived but another camper told us that they were told $21/night when they arrived. self pay system. we would stay here again while travelling. very lush green surroundings. also have tent sites. good Verizon and 4G

For Lake Shelby Campground: This is a small campground in verdant central Kentucky. The sites are small and things are run down. However within 100 feet of the campsite is a beautiful lake, there is verdant green grass everywhere, and lots of wildlife. This is a pastoral seeing par excellance. A hidden gem. It is not a swimming lake. It is a scenic Lake.
