For General Butler State Resort Park: I would say this is a fair-good state park. We were there in the winter and I am grateful that this park is open as few are. I would definitely come back in the winter but think I wouldn’t like it in the summer. The sites are closer together than I would like. Few are level but most you could level close enough with enough blocks. The most level sites are in the loop near the second bathroom. Center loop sites have no trees and you would just look over other RVs. Seems like they could use another bathroom or two. We are self contained so don’t care. The water is shared between sites and oddly quite a distance from the front of the pads so bring long hoses. Electrical in the normal spot. We enjoyed it here as it was empty and the deer were fun to watch. We paid walk in at $27.56 in winter with water shut off. Reservation tags hadn’t been pulled off sites for awhile so if you are a walk in and want a site that looks reserved, check the tag date.

For General Butler State Resort Park: Great campground. Nice sites, some wooded. Lots of things to see and do in area.
I would have rated it at least 4 stars, EXCEPT for the condition of the bathhouses. We watched campground personnel go in the bathhouse only one time in our theee night stay. Even AFTER observing staff go in bathhouse, floors remained filthy, shower stalls were dirty, Bath Sink counter had hair all over, soiled sinks, dirty mirrors, and no soap was ever in dispenser. The worst was the toilets, and they were deplorable. I am thankful that our RV has facilities we can and sometimes do utilize. I felt sorry for the folks who were tent camping at the end of the lane and had to use the nasty bathhouse.

For General Butler State Resort Park: Small clean well kept park. Sites were a little cramped, mostly back in, little hard to get into. However, a pleasant place and would stay there again. Lovely old historic town

For General Butler State Resort Park: Sites were crammed together and many sites you stepped out to a downhill drop. Our picnic table was 50 feet away downhill. Site was advertised as flat but wasn't even close. Never could level our RV. Nice park - not as nice campground.
