For Campground 1 - Clinton State Park: This campground is conveniently located by Lawrence and is open end of February with frost free water and electric, making it a great stop on way to SW. It is strange though. Lots of maga flags, and rigs that appear to be here long term. Traffic heard at 1 pm, people returning after bars close? And leaving for work in morning? Many stay two weeks, have various junk items around camper. Would not come here if wasn’t only place available end of February.

For Campground 1 - Clinton State Park: Loved this campground. We camped under mature trees in a mostly level, clean gravel site. We were passing through but with the lake it looked like a haven for those who want to fish. Did not see bathhouse. We like to walk and there were several trails around the lake although not easily accessible from the campground. Would definitely stay here again.

For Campground 1 - Clinton State Park: Stayed one night, 27 Sept 2016 and found the campground quite alluring. Lots of cut grass for the Doxie, older picnic table, large fire ring with grill, and ample fairly level parking for our 26' MH. Sites can handle much larger motor homes and trailers. Gorgeous area!
Paid $5 to enter park and $22 (incl tax) for site. Did not use nor peak at restrooms, though we see others using them.
Dump station is at front of campground. Electric and water work fine. Lots of pressure.
This is campground 1. We may have seen one tiny tick, but not certain. The bugs were minimal being cooler weather in the last few days. Definitely would stay here again.

For Campground 1 - Clinton State Park: Horrible ticks and swarming flying gnats bugs and mosquitos. It appears they are not treating can campsites for insects or pests. We found 4 baby rats dead at our campsite and it was a PRIME RV site. Needless to say worst experience June 2016. You step in the grass the bugs swarm so thick you have to step back out or they get in your face hair and all over. Never seen anything like it.
