For Blackhawk Valley Campground: Stopped here for one night. Beautiful campground. Green grass everywhere. Perfectly level site. The riverfront sites are all long term residents. I thought they were all well kept. Lovely place.

For Blackhawk Valley Campground: Great park, we’ll maintained and friendly staff. All sites are gravel or grass, but level and spaced reasonably apart. Nice amenities and a river walk area

For Blackhawk Valley Campground: Stayed here 2 years in a row for one night. Have no complaints but be aware of almost one lane road with steep hill to enter and leave campground. We used Passport America for both stays

For Blackhawk Valley Campground: Large, beautiful, quiet and immaculately maintained campground, catering mainly to locals who keep a seasonal site. Right on the Kishwaukee River. Site was level with partial shade in the middle of the day and full shade late afternoon, which in June was a blessing. 50 amp service. Short-stay sites like ours are somewhat close together, but that's likely not going to be an issue except for a holiday weekend. Very convenient to Rockford, which is a bustling town. We'd happily stay again.

For Blackhawk Valley Campground: I am giving this place a one rating for one reason: my door is 15 feet from my neighbor’s door with our picnic tables wedged in between. Less room on other side. Such a shame for a beautiful spot otherwise. Is it just me or are other newby RV-ers finding on top of each other RV sites fairly common even when the cost is up? I don’t want to stay in a beautiful parking lot. Last night was worse I guess. This place does have grass not all gravel.

For Blackhawk Valley Campground: Gorgeous, well maintained park! We stayed in 7/20/20 with our 40ft fifth wheel. Level pull thru sites with grass, fire pit, pavilion, Mini golf and playground available. Trees for shade and it backs up along a small river/creek. Some permanent sites very well kept.

For Blackhawk Valley Campground: Loved this campground! Shady, wellmaintained, very clean! Friendly helpful staff! Drove of wild turkeys meandered through several times! Highly recommend!
