For Shady Rest - Washington County SRA: Quiet, pleasant campground in the midst of mature trees. Gravel sites are all level and generously sized. Even through its 4th of July weekend there are very few people here —- probably because the toilets and shower house are closed for renovation. If you want the classic Midwestern tree-covered camping experience, this is it!

For Shady Rest - Washington County SRA: Beautiful campground with lots of trees. Bathhouse spotless! Close proximity to pretty lake. Saw a hawk and several Blue Heron.
Campground empty when we were there. During a busy time the sites would be a little close.
Highly recommend this campground !

For Shady Rest - Washington County SRA: Nice and clean for a state park. Good fishing around here too. Have gone for many years now.
