For Palace Camp Ground: Very nice, quiet campground. It’s very large and I stayed right after Memorial Day so not many campers yet. Showers were clean and older but shower heads were better than most. I would definitely come back here.

For Palace Camp Ground: This is a very pretty place, nice grounds, nice pool, nice owners. We will absolutely stay here again! Everything is nice and clean and very well maintained.

For Palace Camp Ground: Totally disagree with other reviews. First, the sites are no closer to each other than I have seen at many other parks. There’s lots of green space. It’s very well maintained. Lots of shade. Well planned. We did not use the facilities so cannot comment on them. Easy access to hiway and close to Galena and a Wal-Mart.

For Palace Camp Ground: What a horrible place to stay this is. The slots to park in are so close together you can hear everything in the campers behind you and next to you and across from you. The campground is less than 1/3 full while we are here now, and the Wi-Fi is insufficient at even that level. They do not offer what is advertised, and they don’t really seem to care. The pool is closed for the corona restrictions. Those restrictions were lifted today but the snippy girl in the office said they will still not be opening the pool because it is a lot of work. Unlike other campgrounds we stayed at during the virus restrictions, these people neither disclosed that they were not offering the heated pool nor did they discount the rates. They have a laundry, but said they could not provide change to give quarters and perhaps I could get some from the store nearby. Really?

For Palace Camp Ground: We love Galena... palace campground was nice. The sites are VERY CLOSE together too close. The pool looks very nice closed this time of year. The bathrooms are nice and clean. We showered in our trailer but the showers looked fine. Small park for kids. Can't beat the location we didn't do the shops this visit spent two days hiking in beautiful Galena great views. We will go back , the people were very nice.

For Palace Camp Ground: Friendly check in, only available was water/electric but it was a 1 night stay so that worked. Lots of seasonal/family vacationers but they all were friendly. Spots a bit tight with small grass area. Didn't use any facilities. Historic Galena is well worth visiting plus two stores, Walmart & Piggly Wiggly, near by. Would stay there again for proximity to Galena.

For Palace Camp Ground: Nice campground. Some spots are very close together. Has a mini golf course and nice pool. Showers were a little gross. No fire ring.
